In what some believe could be a Super Bowl preview, the Packers will match up with the Chiefs at 8:00 p.m. ET on Thursday night when the NFL preseason continues at Arrowhead Stadium. Despite the low total, is the under the best bet on the board tonight?

Green Bay Packers DFS Spin
Packers activated TE Robert Tonyan (knee) from the active/PUP list. Tonyan is still working his way back from ACL surgery, but this is a big step in his recovery. It at least gives Tonyan a chance to play Week 1 and would seem to suggest he’s going to be available in the season’s first month. He’s no longer an option for the reserve/PUP list.
Kansas City Chiefs DFS Spin
Patrick Mahomes completed 6-of-7 passes for 60 yards and one touchdown in the Chiefs’ first preseason game Saturday against the Bears. Mahomes wanted to get some preseason work in, take a couple hits, and get his feel ready for the regular season. He was flawless in his lone series of work, capping it with a short touchdown to backup TE Blake Bell. On his six completions, Mahomes hit six different pass-catchers, including a 19-yard hookup with Travis Kelce. Mahomes looks ready for Week 1 against the Cardinals.

Packers vs. Chiefs Prediction:
The total for tonight’s game opened at 39.5 but has been bet all the way down to 35.5. With Aaron Rodgers, Patrick Mahomes and the offensive firepower on both sides, that’s interesting line movement to say the least. I think what oddsmakers are telling us is that Matt LeFleur and Andy Reid might rely mostly on backups tonight as they attempt to pare down their rosters. When backups – specifically third and fourth-stringers – get onto the field in preseason matchups, the games tend to grind to a halt and the sloppy play gets ramped up. I like the under tonight in KC.
