Green Bay Packers DFS Spin
Aaron Rodgers completed 22-of-30 passes for 229 yards, a touchdown, and an interception in the Packers’ 24-12, Week 15 win over the Rams. Rodgers’ interception came on a miscommunication with Allen Lazard. Rodgers wanted him to keep going deep, but Lazard slowed down to avoid running into the Rams’ coverage. With Lazard nowhere near the throw, LA safety Taylor Rapp easily intercepted the pass. Where the blame lies is debatable, but the throw was not a physical error from the 39-year-old passer. His touchdown came on a short catch-and-run from Aaron Jones. It wasn’t an impressive night from the reigning MVP, but the Packers’ handled their business versus an inferior opponent. Rodgers’ fantasy backers will look for him to do more in a better matchup with the Dolphins next week. He will rank as a high-end QB2.
Miami Dolphins DFS Spin
Tua Tagovailoa completed 17-of-30 passes for 234 yards and two touchdowns in the Dolphins’ 32-29, Week 15 loss to the Bills. After a back-and-forth first half, Tua led the Dolphins storming back to open the third quarter with 13 unanswered points in the frame. The Dolphins would take a nine-point lead on a Jason Sanders field goal to open the fourth before a Dawson Knox touchdown and Josh Allen two-point conversion knotted the game at 29 with nine minutes to play. Tua came up short on the subsequent possession, giving the ball back to Josh Allen and the Bills with just over five minutes remaining. The Bills would march the field to set up a 25-yard, game-winning Tyler Bass field goal as time expired in heavy snowfall. The aggressive Bills secondary held Tua to primarily short yardage gains through the air, but Jaylen Waddle broke free for a 67-yard strike early in the third quarter for the longest gain of the game. The 8-6 Dolphins have fallen all the way from the two-seed in the AFC over the previous three weeks and now find themselves in the six-seed with just three weeks remaining in the season.
