Green Bay Packers

The Packers lost their last two games of the season, including a 24-22 loss to rival Chicago. Although this game only mattered for seeding purposes, the Packers elected to play their starters and it came at a price. Jordan Love suffered an injury to his right throwing hand and said he had lost feeling in it after falling on it early in the second quarter. After a limited practice on Wednesday, he finished the week with two full participations. Christian Watson didn’t fare as well. The deep threat receiver suffered a torn ACL against the Bears. On the defensive side, Jaire Alexander was placed on the IR, and Quay Walker and Evan Williams remain questionable for Sunday.

Philadelphia Eagles

After a tough 36-33 loss to the Commanders, the Eagles closed out their season with two straight wins. Although this was without starting quarterback Jalen Hurts, who suffered a concussion early on in the Commanders game and was not cleared to return to the field for the final two games. Hurts has officially cleared concussion protocol and is set to start on Sunday against the Packers. Saquon Barkley took the final game of the season off to rest. He averaged 5.8 yards per carry and had 13 touchdowns on the season.

Green Bay is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games

The OVER is 3-2 in Green Bay’s last 5 games

Philadelphia is 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games

The UNDER is 4-2 in Philadelphia’s last 6 games

Packers vs. Eagles Prediction:

Lay the points with the Eagles in this matchup on Sunday. Philadelphia is the more complete team with a very strong offense and defense. On offense the Eagles average 27.2 points per game. They get their dual threat QB back on the field which will help open up Saquon Barkley who is having a historic season.

The Eagles defense ranks 2nd in opponent points per game allowing 17.8. They’ve allowed over 20 points just once in the last 6 games and that was against the Commanders where they had 5 takeaways. Not only do they have a top 10 rush defense but they also have the best pass defense in the league allowing 5.5 yards per pass attempt. The loss of Christian Watson makes life just a bit easier for an already elite squad. Although Jordan Love is all set to play in this game, he did suffer an injury to his throwing hand/ elbow just last week which could bother him especially after a few hits. The start to the season was a bit rough but the Eagles have since covered in 4 of their last 5 home games. I think the Eagles dominate on Sunday.

Packers vs. Eagles Prediction: Eagles -4.5
