Carolina Panthers DFS Spin

Teddy Bridgewater completed 26-of-37 passes for 276 yards and two touchdowns in the Panthers’ 31-21 Week 4 win against the Cardinals, adding six rushes for 32 yards and a touchdown. This was Bridgewater’s best performance in black and blue, remarkably on point and accurate in the intermediate game. Even Bridgewater’s 18-yard touchdown run was remarkable, juking and spinning away from multiple defenders near the line of scrimmage to not only convert a 3rd-and-8 but also land in the endzone. His connection with Joe Brady is great, with the lone interception arriving on a sideline shot to Ian Thomas along the right sideline. After everything he has gone through in his career, seeing this kind of game from Teddy B reminds us about the best parts of football. He remains a QB2 against the Falcons in Week 5.

Atlanta Falcons DFS Spin

Matt Ryan completed 28-of-39 passes for 285 scoreless yards in the Falcons’ 30-16, Week 4 loss to the Packers. After throwing for over 400 yards in Week 1, Ryan hasn’t topped 300 yards in any of the last three outings and has just one touchdown over his last two contests. He played the entire second half of this one without Julio Jones (hamstring), and Calvin Ridley was at less than 100% with a hammy pull of his own. Ryan looked way off Monday, making a number of ill-advised throws through multiple defenders and was very lucky to not be picked off a number of times. Ryan should rebound in a home date with the Panthers next week.

Panthers vs. Falcons Betting Prediction

The Panthers are winless against the spread in their last five games versus the Falcons and 0-5 against the number in their last five games in Atlanta. The home team, meanwhile, is 11-4 against the spread in the last 15 meetings between these two teams while the Falcons are 5-2 against the number in their last seven games overall despite losing four straight. Dan Quinn’s job might be on the line and when that was the situation a year ago, his players responded by winning six of their final eight games. Atlanta gets its first win today.
