Carolina Panthers DFS Spin
Chuba Hubbard (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 8 against the Falcons. Hubbard didn’t practice all week after picking up the ankle injury last week against the Bucs. His absence positions D’Onta Foreman as the Panthers’ lead back against a Falcons defense giving up the fifth highest expected points added per rush this season. Foreman last week ran for 118 yards on 15 carries against Tampa. Only four running backs in Week 7 had more rush yards after contact per attempt than Foreman. He should be considered a high-end RB2 in Week 8.
Atlanta Falcons DFS Spin
Tyler Allgeier rushed 16 times for 50 yards and a touchdown in the Falcons’ Week 7 loss to the Bengals. Allgeier was not targeted in the passing game, which isn’t much of a surprise since Marcus Mariota attempted only 13 passes. It’s a miracle Allgeier saw the run-game volume he did with the Falcons falling behind 21-0 in the opening seconds of the second quarter. Thankfully for those who took the RB3 plunge, the Falcons are one of those rare offenses that remain committed to the run no matter the game situation. Nowhere was that more vividly illustrated on Sunday than when Allgeier capped off a 16-play, 10:09 drive with a one-yard score in the second quarter. Allgeier ceded a modest six carries to Caleb Huntley and would have seen more work if not for the Falcons’ comically-low play volume. Get ready for a Week 8 rock fight with the Panthers.

Panthers vs. Falcons Prediction:
The underdog is a perfect 4-0 against the spread in the last four games in this series, while the road team is 4-0 against the number in the last four meetings. The Falcons can only win one way, which is to get a lead and run the ball effectively. That makes them a decent underdog, but a poor favorite. P.J. Walker gave the Panthers a spark last week and I expect him to play well against a depleted Atlanta defense today.
