Panthers vs. Rams Prediction & Odds
The Panthers fired head coach Matt Rhule earlier this week and replaced him with former Cardinals head coach Steve Wilks.
Will Carolina play hard for Wilks and at least cover the 10-point spread as an underdog versus the Rams at 4:05 p.m. ET on Sunday?

Carolina Panthers DFS Spin
P.J. Walker will start for the Panthers in Week 6 against the Rams. Mayfield, struggling with a high ankle sprain, is listed as doubtful for Week 6, though the Panthers reportedly hope he can suit up as Walker’s backup for reasons we cannot explain. Walker will take on a tough LA defense giving up the 12th lowest EPA per play through Week 5. Walker has been horrific in spot duty, throwing two touchdowns in eight interceptions in ten appearances since 2020. The Rams defense is the top fantasy option for this week and Walker is unplayable in all formats.
Los Angeles Rams DFS Spin
Cooper Kupp (foot) is questionable for Week 6 against the Panthers. Sean McVay has said he expects his star wideout to play and Kupp gave an interview this week, so he’s on the optimistic side of questionable. Just be aware that re-aggravating the injury is in his range of outcomes this week. Kupp obviously remains a WR1 — maybe the WR1 overall on the slate — even despite a projected low-scoring matchup with the Panthers.

Panthers vs. Rams Prediction:
The Rams have a ton of issues but I can’t force myself to back the Panthers, who are 5-16 against the spread in their last 21 games overall, are 6-20 against the number in their last 26 games when facing an opponent with a losing record and who are 3-14 at the betting window in their last 17 games coming off a loss of more than 14 points. The Rams, meanwhile, are 13-5-1 against the spread in their last 19 games coming off a double-digit loss at home and have covered in four of their last five games after allowing less than 250 total yards in their previous contest.
