EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ (The Spread) – The New England Patriots already have the AFC East title, but another win over the New York Jets wouldn’t hurt. The two meet on Sunday at 1PM ET.

The Patriots are 11-3 on the season and have won the AFC East and currently have the top seed in the AFC playoff standings. New England is tied with Denver for best record, but holds the tiebreaker if the two tie. The Pats have won their last two and nine of their last 10 coming into Sunday’s game. The Pats are 9-5 against the spread on the season and they have covered in six of their last seven games.

The Jets are coming off a 16-11 win at Tennessee last week to improve to 3-11 on the season. They are now just 4-9-1 against the spread, but they have covered in two of their last three games. The Jets have hit the under in five of their last six.

The oddsmakers like the Patriots by a lot on the road, as oddsmakers from BetDSI have given New England odds of -10.5 points against the Jets on Sunday. The over/under total for the game has been set at 47 points (View Matchup). The home team has won four of the last five in this series and the Jets have covered the spread in four of their last five against New England.

These two met back on Oct. 16 in New England and the Jets put up a surprising fight, losing just 27-25. They actually took a 19-17 lead in the second half, but couldn’t quite hold on. The Jets amassed 423 yards of offense while allowing only 323 total yards. Chris Ivory rushed for a game-high 107 yards on 21 carries while Chris Johnson added 61 yards. Tom Brady led the Patriots in the win, going 20 of 37 passing for 261 yards and three touchdowns.
