The Pats still have a two-game lead in the AFC East and are 7-5 against the spread. They are just 2-3 ATS in their last 5 games as a favorite.
San Diego is coming off the biggest win of its season, 34-33 at Baltimore last week. The Chargers scored the game-winning touchdowns in the closing seconds to earn their third straight win and improve to 8-4 on the season. They are 1 game behind Denver in the AFC West and come into tonight’s game 6-6 against the spread. The Chargers are just 1-6 against the spread in their last 7 and 2-2 ATS in their last 4 as an underdog. The only time the Chargers have been an underdog at home was when they beat the Seahawks in Week 2, 30-21.

This game likely could come down to passing defense, as Tom Brady and Philip Rivers are the strong points of each offense. When it comes to a secondary, San Diego is statistically better, allowing just 221.6 yards per game through the air. New England comes into this contest allowing 250.9 passing yards per game.
