Bet Patriots vs. Eagles Super Bowl LII Odds

New England opened as 13/2 favorites to win the Super Bowl so it’s no surprise that Tom Brady and Co. are back in the NFL title game. This will be the Patriots’ 10th Super Bowl appearance, which is the most in NFL history. They have five wins and four losses in their previous nine appearances, which span 1985 through last year when they beat the Atlanta Falcons, 34-28 in overtime. This will be Tom Brady’s eighth Super Bowl appearance.

As for the Eagles, they were 50/1 long shots to make the Super Bowl so anyone carrying a Philadelphia futures ticket right now can start planning to hedge their bets so they can get some profit in return. This will be the Eagles’ third trip to the Super Bowl and their second meeting with the Patriots. Donovan McNabb and Co. fell to Brady and New England in the 2004 Super Bowl, a 24-21 victory for the Patriots.

The underdog is 5-1 against the spread in the last six meetings between these two teams while the over has hit in four of the last five meetings overall. The Eagles will be an underdog for a third consecutive postseason game. They’re 2-0 as a dog, beating the Falcons 15-10 in the Divisional Round, and the Vikings 38-7 in the NFC Championship Game. Both times Philadelphia was a 3-point home dog.

Early betting action is on the Eagles, with 52% of the betting tickets wagered online, and 59% of the money flooding in on Philadelphia to cover the spread.
