Patriots Ravens Point Spread Betting Line Opens at -20 for New England

Patriots Favored by -20

Last weeks close call in Philadelphia didn’t faze the oddsmakers at Bodog one bit. Without hesitation the week 13 point spread betting line on the New England Patriots at Baltimore Ravens game opened at -20 in favor of the Patriots.

-20 favorites in a road game? No problem say oddsmakers. You can mostly blame the Ravens for the high point spread on the Patriots. The Ravens are only putting up 16.5 ppg in 2007 which is .3 ppg less than the average of 16.8 ppg the Patriots defense is allowing this year. New England is averaging 40.2 ppg this season on offense.

While probably expecting to get blown out this weekend there is some bright light for the Baltimore Ravens. Monday Nights game will be the first time in more than a decade that oddsmakers have made a home NFL team an underdog of 20 or more points.

New England is 9-2 ATS this season and Baltimore is a dismal 1-10 in 2007 Against the Spread.
