Pats sign Reggie Wayne to one-year deal
FOXBORO, NE (The Spread) – The Patriots signed receiver Reggie Wayne to a one-year contract on Monday.
Wayne spent his entire career with the Indianapolis Colts before inking a deal with rival New England. He suffered a torn ACL in 2013 and was limited to 64 catches for 779 yards last season as he worked his way back from the injury. He also dealt with a triceps injury that slowed him in 2014.
Now 37, Wayne provides the Patriots with depth behind fellow receivers Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola, Aaron Dobson and Brandon LaFell. The Patriots also announced on Monday that wideout Brandon Gibson was placed on injured reserve with a torn ACL.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book GT Bets, the Patriots are 9/1 to win the 2016 Super Bowl odds.
