New England Patriots DFS Spin
Mac Jones completed 20-of-33 attempts for 203 yards and two touchdowns in the Patriots’ 23-21 Week 17 win against the Dolphins. With the Patriots’ usual dump offs and poorly-designed screen passes, Jones averaged a meager 6.1 yards per attempt against a Dolphins secondary that ranks as one of the worst in the NFL. His touchdowns were to rookie Tyquan Thornton and Jakobi Meyers on a nicely-placed lob inside the ten yard line. Jones was typically terrible under pressure — he took three sacks on the day — and his rare throws down the field or to the boundary fluttered like Peyton Manning’s in his final NFL season. Jones won’t be a fantasy option in Week 18 against Buffalo.
Buffalo Bills DFS Spin
Josh Allen (ankle/right elbow) is not on Buffalo’s final Week 18 injury report against the Patriots. The ankle designation was new on Thursday, but there was never much reason to be concerned about it and Buffalo beat writers didn’t even ask him about it in his presser yesterday. Allen will be a top-three QB play in Week 18 against the Patriots despite their stellar defense.
