Can Miami stop Gronk?
The New England Patriots need a win to clinch home-field advantage today. Will Rob Gronkowski lead them past the Miami Dolphins?
According to oddsmakers at RealBets, New England is the clear favorite in this game, as the Patriots are getting odds of -10 points against the Dolphins. The over/under total for the game has been set at 46 points. These two meet today at 1PM ET on CBS.
The Patriots (12-3, 7-6-2 ATS) need a win or tie, or a Denver win or tie, to lock up the top seed in the AFC playoffs. New England has been dealing with a lot of injuries to skill players this season but Gronkowski is ready to go today and oddsmakers have listed his over/under for receptions at 5.5 and his over/under for receiving yards at 74.5. Gronk is having another solid year, as the six-year NFL veteran has 70 receptions for 1,158 yards and 11 touchdowns this season.
Today the Patriots meet up with the Dolphins (5-10, 4-11 ATS). These two met back in New England on Oct. 29 with the Patriots getting a 36-7 victory. The Dolphins come into this game ranking 24th in pass defense, allowing 258.3 yards per game through the air. Miami struggled to stop Gronk in the first meeting, as he had 6 receptions for 113 yards and a touchdown. Gronk has had at least 6 catches in four games while getting at least 75 receiving yards in nine games. Expect another big outing for Gronkowski tonight.
