New England Patriots DFS Notes
Cam Newton completed 13-of-17 passes for 118 yards and a touchdown in the Patriots’ Week 10 win over the Ravens, adding 11 carries for 21 yards and a rushing touchdown. After struggling to beat the Jets, Newton managed the Patriots to an upset win over Baltimore. His passing touchdown came in the red-zone to Rex Burkhead, and he scored a rushing one on a designed run from four yards out. Newton was effective again this week, completing 76% of his passes, and didn’t have any turnovers. The Patriots (4-5) have a chance to get back to .500 with a matchup against the Texans in Week 11.
Houston Texans DFS Notes
Deshaun Watson completed 20-of-30 passes for 163 yards and one touchdown in the Texans’ 10-7, Week 10 loss to the Browns. Watson added eight carries for 36 yards. With gale-like winds swirling off of Lake Erie in Cleveland, the Texans’ passing game had nowhere to go. Watson entered halftime with just 71 yards, and was under 100 into the fourth quarter. There was just nothing that could be done in weather conditions that created a 37-minute delay to start the game. Watson had a number of throws that probably could have been caught but were not perfect passes because of the conditions. Speaking to that point, his 16-yard touchdown strike to — we are not making this up — Pharaoh Brown looked like it may have been intended for Will Fuller, but the wind put Brown in better position. Headed home to domed Houston to face New England in Week 11, Watson should bounce back with a vengeance.

On the other side, the over is 4-1 in the Texans’ last five games versus a team with a losing record, is 7-2 in their last nine games after allowing more than 350 total yards in their previous game and has cashed in five of their last seven games coming off an ATS win.
