Steelers vs. Panthers Spread Prediction
The Carolina Panthers are red-hot but they find themselves as underdogs on Thursday night in Pittsburgh where they’ll take on the Steelers at 8:20 p.m. ET. Are the Panthers a good play as a road dog?

Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Steelers are 3.5-point favorites to beat the Panthers. The total, meanwhile, sits at 51 points. As of this writing, 56% of the public betting tickets are on the Panthers to cover the point spread.
Carolina Panthers
Christian McCaffrey rushed 17 times for 79 yards and two touchdowns in the Panthers’ Week 9 win over the Bucs, adding five receptions for 78 additional yards. McCaffrey’s 157 yards from scrimmage were his second most of the season. The second-year pro had little trouble finding huge cushions against the Bucs’ pathetic defense, notching gains of 32, 35, 14 and 20 yards. He also notched three carries inside the Bucs’ five-yard line, converting two of them for scores. It was what McCaffrey should have done against the Bucs’ embarrassingly-bad defense. The sledding will be tougher against the Steelers on Thursday Night Football in Week 10.
Pittsburgh Steelers
Ben Roethlisberger (finger) was left off the Week 10 injury report. There was never any doubt over his status. The Steelers also removed James Washington (knee) and Ryan Switzer (ankle) from this week’s injury report.
NFL Betting Trends
Carolina
The Panthers are 5-0 against the spread in their last five games played in the month of November.
Pittsburgh
The Steelers are 4-0 against the spread in their last four games overall and 3-0-1 ATS in their last four games played on Thursday.
Prediction
The Steelers are just 2-5 against the spread in their last seven games against a team with a winning record, have failed to cover in eight of their last 11 games following a win, and are 2-7 ATS in their last nine home games. Big Ben is banged up, Pittsburgh’s defense is still susceptible to big plays on the back end, and Carolina is hot. I’m taking the points.
