Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cincinnati Bengals NFL Week 15 Predictions 12/18/16

Steelers vs. Bengals Prediction

AFC North rivals clash today at 1:00PM ET when the Bengals host the Steelers. Will Cincinnati cover the spread as a home dog?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Bengals are 3-point home underdogs versus the Steelers while the total currently sits a 44.5 points. While the point spread hasn’t moved off the original number of 3, the over/under went from 45 down to 44.5 at the majority of sports books.

Antonio Brown has occupied a smaller offensive role over the past month but he says he’s not upset about the situation. “I know every week won’t be designed for me to go down the field and get a lot of passes,” Brown said earlier this week. “I’m all about the team first, hwatever it akes to win. If we have to run the ball 30 times that’s what we’ll do.” Brown has not topped 100 yards receiving since Week 15 and has six or fewer catches in each of Pittsburgh’s last three games.

ESPN reporter Britt McHenry reported that the Bengals still plan on putting receiver A.J. Green (hamstring) through a pre-game workout today to check on his availability, but they are not optimistic that the wideout will play. It would appear that Cincinnati will test Green to see if he can play in Week 16, as opposed to him risking further injury today. If he doesn’t play, tight end Tyler Eifert will again be the team’s go-to passing-game option.

OUR PREDICTION: The Steelers are playing too good right now to fade them, especially now that the Ravens are a full game back in the AFC North. Ben Roethlisberger is 10-2 in the regular season at Cincinnati and the Steelers are an impressive 11-2 at the betting window in their last 13 games in December. They’re also 16-4-2 against the number in their last 22 games in Cincinnati and are 18-7-2 against the spread in their last 27 games overall versus the Bengals.
