Spread for Christmas Eve matchup climbs
The point spread for tonight’s Chargers vs. Raiders game at 8:25PM ET is up a full point at the betting window.
Oakland opened as a 4.5-point home favorite for tonight’s Christmas Eve meeting with San Diego, but according to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI the Raiders are now a 5.5-point favorite. The total, meanwhile, hasn’t budged after opening at 46.5.
Both of these teams have been average against the spread this season. The Raiders are 6-8 straight up and 7-7 at the betting window, while the Chargers are 4-10 overall and just 6-8 against the number. Oakland has only be favored at home one time this season and went on to lose that game 30-14 as a 3-point favorite to Minnesota.
San Diego, meanwhile, is 4-2 against the spread as a road dog, but has still lost by an average margin of 5.5 points in those six games. While the underdog is 12-1 against the spread in the last 13 meetings between these two teams, the Chargers are just 1-5 against the number in their last six games versus the Raiders. (Of course, San Diego is used to being favored in this matchup.)
