According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Jaguars are 1.5-point home favorites versus the Raiders while the over/under currently sits at 48.5 points for the 1:00PM ET kickoff. Neither the side nor the total have moved off the original numbers set by oddsmakers.
The Raiders are coming off a 26-10 loss as a small home underdog versus the Chiefs last Sunday as Derek Carr completed 22-of-34 passes for 225 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Kansas City basically played keep-away in the second half and shut down Oakland’s offense with good defense and ball control on offense. The Raiders are now 4-2 on the year following the loss and are 3-3 against the spread.
The Jaguars won for the second straight game, rallying to beat the Bears 17-16 as a 2.5-point road underdog last Sunday in Chicago. Blake Bortles found Arrelious Benn for a 51-yard touchdown in the closing minutes when cornerback Tracy Porter slipped on the play and never recovered. The victory gives Jacksonville two on the year, with the Jags’ record standing at 2-3 entering play on Sunday. They’ve also covered in three straight games.

OUR PREDICTION: The over is 4-1 in the Raiders’ last five games following a double-digit loss at home and is 10-3-2 in their last 15 games versus an opponent with a losing record. The over is also 7-3 in the Jaguars’ last 10 home games and is 4-1 in their last five games in the month of October. Given how poorly Oakland’s defense has played this season, the over looks like a good bet to cash on Sunday.
