Raiders vs. Vikings NFL Week 11 Odds
MINNESOTA, MN (The Spread) – Despite the two teams’ records, oddsmakers have installed the Vikings as a small favorite over the Raiders this Sunday.
OAKLAND: The Raiders shocked the masses with their 24-17 victory over the Chargers in San Diego on Thursday night football last week. Carson Palmer picked up his first win as a Raider since coming over in a deadline trade with Cincinnati just under a month ago. That victory coupled with a Denver win over Kansas City on Sunday gave Oakland sole possession of first place in the AFC West. The Raiders are now 5-4 on the year and 6-3 against the spread.
MINNESOTA: The Vikings proved an unworthy opponent against the Packers in the two teams’ rematch on Monday night. After Minnesota hung with Green Bay at home earlier this year, the Vikes were pummeled 45-7 on the road as the Packers covered easily as a 13-point favorite. While Christian Ponder continues to get his feet wet as a starting quarterback, Minnesota’s defensive players are dropping like flies. The Vikings lost cornerback Antoine Winfield to a collarbone injury earlier this week.
ODDS: Oddsmakers have installed the Raiders as a 1-point favorite over the Vikings, while the over/under total for this game is currently sitting at 45 points. Oakland comes into this week with a 5-4 record overall and is 3-1 on the road, while Minnesota is 2-7 overall and 1-3 at home.
TRENDS: The Raiders are 5-0 against the spread in their last five road games but 8-23 ATS in their last 31 games as a favorite. The Vikings are 2-8-1 against the spread versus a team with a winning record and 1-4 ATS in their last five games in November. The under is 5-1 in the Raiders’ last six games overall but the over is 4-1 in the Vikings’ last five home games.
