Rams 13/1 to win 2019 Super Bowl After Signing Ndamukong Suh 3/27/18

Rams sign Suh, are 13/1 to win SB

The L.A. Rams continued their busy offseason on Monday by landing one of the best defensive lineman in the game.

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Rams signed defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, formerly of the Dolphins, to a one-year, $14 million contract. According to Schefter, Suh took less money to sign with the Rams, who won the NFC West Division last year and figures to be a strong contender again in 2019.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book YouWager, the Rams are currently 13/1 to win the 2019 Super Bowl following a slew of moves made this offseason. On top of signing Suh in free agency, L.A. acquired cornerback Aqib Talib from the Broncos in exchange for a fifth-round pick. The team also signed corner Sam Shields and traded for former Chiefs first-rounder Marcus Peters as well.

Suh drew interest from several teams after he was released from the Dolphins. The Jets, Saints and Titans were all interested in the free agent’s services, but Suh was reportedly very intrigued by the idea of teaming up with Aaron Donald and Michael Brockers. At 31 years old, the one-year pact is an opportunity to rehab his value, although Suh will once again draw interest on the open mark next year.

The Rams defensive front and secondary are massive strengths, although the team needs to give Wade Phillips some edge rushers after trading Robert Quinn to the Dolphins.
