Rams vs. Redskins Odds
WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Spread) – Is it okay to buy into the St. Louis Rams, or are they due for a letdown performance against the Washington Redskins this week?
St. Louis is coming off one of the best performances by a team this season in its 52-0 win over the Raiders at home, as the Rams held Oakland to 244 yards and forced 5 turnovers in the victory. Despite that, St. Louis is just 5-7 on the season and 6-6 against the spread and it has failed to string together consecutive wins this season.
Oddsmakers don’t seem to be afraid of those trends, however, as they have the Rams favored in Sunday’s 1PM ET game on FOX. The oddsmakers from BetDSI have given St. Louis odds of -2.5 points at Washington (View Matchup). The over/under total for the game has been set at 44 points.
Washington hasn’t inspired much confidence lately, losing four straight including a 49-27 loss to the Colts on the road last week. The team has given the ball to Colt McCoy, who has showed some signs of life, throwing for 819 yards and four scores, but he needs more help around him and on defense. Washington is just 4-8 against the spread this year.
If the Rams are going to win back-to-back games, it will need another strong outing from rookie running back Tre Mason, who rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns. He will be up against a Washington defensive front that allows only 102.8 rushing yards per game, which ranks 9th in the NFL.
