Rams vs. Seahawks Pick

Will the total in Thursday night’s NFC West matchup between the Rams and Seahawks fall under the betting total at 8:25PM ET?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Seahawks are 15-point home favorites versus the Rams after opening as a 13-point favorite. As for the total, the number hit the board at 40.5 and has been bet down a full two points to 38.5.

On Monday the Rams fired head coach Jeff Fisher, who was set to pass Dan Reeves for the most coaching losses in league history. Special teams coordinator John Fassel was named interim head coach and will be on the headset on Thursday night in Seattle when the Rams attempt to beat the Seahawks for the fourth consecutive time. It’ll be a tall task, however, as L.A. enters the week with a 4-9 record and a 4-8-1 against the spread.

The Seahawks lost for the second time in three weeks last Sunday in Green Bay, falling 38-10 to the Packers in a route that was on from the opening kickoff. Seattle fell to 8-4-1 on the year but is still in the driver’s seat to win the NFC West because no other team in the division has a winning record. After failing to cover as a 3-point road favorite last week, the Seahawks are now 7-6 at the betting window in 2016.

OUR PREDICTION: The under has been a great bet in recent meetings between these two teams and should be a solid play again on Thursday night. The Rams seemingly gave up on Fisher the last couple weeks but Fassel is a respected assistant and should get the most out of his defense on Thursday night. On the other side, Jared Goff won’t be able to move the ball against a Seattle defense that is reeling after last week and will look to right themselves against the worst offense in the NFL. The under is 4-0 in the last four meetings between these two teams in Seattle and 7-2 in the last nine meetings overall.
