Ravens favored by 8.5 points to get season sweep of Browns this Sunday

Ravens favored to sweep Browns

BALTIMORE. MD (The Spread) – The Baltimore Ravens look to make a playoff push on Sunday when they host the Cleveland Browns at 1PM ET.

Baltimore is coming off a 25-13 loss at Houston last week to fall to 9-6 on the season. The Ravens can still make the playoffs with a win over the Browns and a loss from the Chargers. Baltimore is 7-7-1 against the spread on the year, but just 1-3 ATS in its last four games. The Ravens have hit the under in three straight contests.

Cleveland suffered a 17-13 loss at Carolina last week. The Browns have now lost four straight games to fall to 7-8 on the season. The offense has really struggled the last few weeks, scoring only 13 points in two games. Johnny Manziel hasn’t played well in his two starts and was injured last week, putting Brian Hoyer back as the starting QB, but even he is questionable with a shoulder injury. Cleveland is 8-5-2 against the spread on the season and they have alternated covering and not covering in their last 10.

Currently, the oddsmakers from BetDSI have Baltimore favored at home against the Browns, as the Ravens are getting odds of -8.5 points against Cleveland. The over/under total for the game has been set at 42.5 points (View Matchup). Baltimore has won nine of its last 10 against the Browns entering this meeting. The Ravens also had a 23-21 win back on Sept. 21 of this season.

Bet on NFL Week 17 Odds

Baltimore should be able to move the ball on Cleveland on the ground. The Browns comes in with the NFL’s worst rushing defense, allowing 142.4 yards per game. In the first meeting this season, Baltimore piled up 160 rushing yards as a team. Look for Justin Forsett to have a big game. He has rushed for 1,147 yards and eight touchdowns to lead the Baltimore offense.
