Baltimore Ravens DFS Spin
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports the Ravens “haven’t changed their stance” on QB Lamar Jackson and plan to begin negotiating a long-term deal in the offseason. The Ravens were never close to extending Jackson last offseason, leading to Jackson playing out his $23 million fifth-year option. That backfired for Jackson, who finished the year injured for the second straight season. Jackson is asking for Deshaun Watson money, a fully guaranteed deal that would make him one of the league’s highest paid quarterbacks. The Ravens are “still all-in” on Jackson and plan to franchise him for 2023 if they can’t work out a long-term extension.
Cincinnati Bengals DFS Spin
Ja’Marr Chase caught 8-of-13 targets for 86 yards and one touchdown in the Bengals’ Week 18 win over the Ravens. Chase could have had a much bigger day, with one deep end zone target intended for a wide-open Chase being knocked away by the trailing defender at the last second. Still, Chase would score from 26 yards out on a jump ball in the end zone, beating cornerback Daryl Worley for the score, giving the Bengals their lone receiving touchdown on the day. Chase and the Ravens will meet again next week in the AFC wild card game.
