Baltimore Ravens Fantasy Spin
Mark Andrews (foot) is questionable for the Ravens’ Week 3 matchup against the Chiefs, but is expected to play. Andrews was also listed as questionable in Week 2, but played a career-high 55% snaps. He’s locked in as a high-end TE1 as a lead option in the Ravens’ suddenly-explosive pass offense. Andrews has caught 16-of-17 targets for 220 yards and a pair of touchdowns this season while continuing to demonstrate elite ability after the catch.
Kansas City Chiefs Fantasy Spin
ESPN’s Adam Teicher reports that the Chiefs are “likely to be cautious about overloading” LeSean McCoy (ankle, questionable) in Week 3. It’s not a surprising development considering Shady was limited in practice all week. He’s expected to suit up Sunday against the Ravens, but likely won’t see a ridiculous 80% snap rate or three-down workload. Look for Darwin Thompson and potentially Darrel Williams to also be involved. Still, Shady is in the RB2 discussion as the lead back in the Chiefs’ high-scoring offense.
NFL Betting Trends
Baltimore
The Ravens are a perfect 4-0 against the spread in their last four road games.
Kansas City
The Chiefs are a perfect 9-0 against the spread in their last nine games played in the month of September.
Prediction
The Ravens are getting way too much love from pundits after routing the tanking Dolphins and the rebuilding Cardinals in the first two weeks of the season. Meanwhile, the Chiefs were shut out in the second half last week in Oakland but Mahomes still lit it up in the second quarter when Kansas City scored all 28 of its points. The Ravens lost some significant pieces on defense this offseason and this will be the first week that those losses will show. Plus, for as well as Lamar Jackson has thrown the ball to start the season, this is a step up in competition despite the Chiefs expected to once again struggle defensively this season.
NFL Week 3 Prediction: Kansas City Chiefs -5.5
