Baltimore Ravens DFS Spin
For DFS, I’d consider the Ravens’ star quarterback Lamar Jackson. Jackson has thrown for 1,067 yards, 12 touchdowns, and 5 interceptions on the year. But most of his value comes in the running game. Lamar Jackson leads the Ravens in rushing yards with 374 and is averaging 7.6 yards per carry. His rushing yardage total is good for the ninth-most in the NFL. Lamar Jackson is a good matchup against the Giants as New York allowed both Justin Fields and Baker Mayfield to average at least 5.8 yards per carry against them. If this game is close, Baltimore may have to lean on Lamar Jackson to make some off-schedule plays and those could lead to some big rushing yardage numbers.
If you need a tight end, Mark Andrews could have some value on Sunday. He leads the Ravens in catches, targets, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns. He’s been consistent as well, hauling in at least 89 receiving yards and a touchdown in three out of Baltimore’s last four games.
New York Giants DFS Spin
The Giants’ best offensive player is running back Saquon Barkley. Barkley posted 106 scrimmage yards (70 rushing, 36 receiving) and a touchdown last weekend in New York’s win over Green Bay. He was a limited practice participant on Thursday and is questionable for Sunday with a shoulder injury. If he plays you can safely insert him into your lineup.
The Giants have a total of three wide receivers who are questionable for Sunday. Two of them (Kenny Golladay and Kadarius Toney) didn’t practice at all Thursday, while one of them (Wan’Dale Robinson) was a limited participant. I would steer clear of all three of these players even if they end up playing. Instead, I’d look for value in those who are going to play. Wide receiver Darius Slayton led the team in targets, catches, and receiving yards last week against Green Bay, posting 6 receptions for 79 yards. He might be in for another solid game against Baltimore on Sunday.
Ravens vs. Giants Betting Trends
Baltimore is 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 games after gaining over 150 rushing yards in their previous game.
Baltimore is 11-28-2 ATS in their last 41 games in October.
New York is 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games in October.
The home team is 5-0 ATS in the last 5 games between Baltimore and New York.
Ravens vs. Giants Prediction:
New York Giants coach Brian Daboll currently has the second-best odds to win Coach of the Year. It’s easy to understand why. Very few thought the Giants were going to be above average this year, and they’ve won 4 of their first 5 games, playing above their talent level the whole way. Everyone wants to talk about Saquon Barkley, but for me, the difference maker is the defense. The Giants are only giving up 18.6 points per game, which ranks ninth in the league. The Giants have seven different players who have recorded a sack, and they’re one of only seven teams holding opponents below 60% on pass completions. I think they stay hot against the spread and cover the number against the Ravens on Sunday.
