Baltimore Ravens DFS Spin
Ravens receiver Demarcus Robinson had a monster game against the Panthers last weekend, hauling in 9 passes for 128 yards. He’s officially listed as questionable for Sunday’s game with a hip injury but was a full participant in Friday’s practice. Baltimore tight end Isaiah Likely and wide receiver Devin Duvernay are also both listed as questionable for Sunday’s tilt with Jacksonville. Their potential absence could mean that Ravens’ tight end Mark Andrews could be in for a big day. Andrews leads the Ravens in catches, targets, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns and could find the end zone or top 100 receiving yards for the first time since October 16th on Sunday.
Ravens QB Lamar Jackson was initially listed on the injury report but has been removed from it and should be fully ready to go on Sunday. Jackson is averaging 197.7 passing yards, 66.6 rushing yards per game, and 1.9 total touchdowns per game. He’ll be looking to bounce back from a mediocre performance against Carolina in Baltimore’s 13-3 win over the Panthers last week.
Jacksonville Jaguars DFS Spin
Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence is beginning to deliver on some of the promise that led to him being drafted #1 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft. Last week against Kansas City Lawrence threw for 259 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 0 interceptions while completing 72.5% of his passes. Lawrence has recorded at least one total touchdown in each of his last 5 games. Trevor Lawrence might be a nice sleeper play in DFS because he’s facing a Baltimore defense that ranks 18th in the NFL in opponent yards per pass attempt.
Jacksonville wide receiver Christian Kirk had a huge game against Kansas City last weekend, posting 105 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns. Kirk has caught 3 touchdowns in his last 2 games and has been targeted at least 7 times in his last 4 games. He may make a couple of big plays against a Ravens defense that’s allowing 10.2 yards per pass completion, a number that ranks 14th in the NFL.
Ravens vs. Jaguars Betting Trends
Baltimore is 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games after allowing less than 15 points in their previous game.
Jacksonville is 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 games following a bye week.
Baltimore is 0-4-1 ATS in their last 5 games in Jacksonville.
The underdog is 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings between Baltimore and Jacksonville.
Ravens vs. Jaguars Prediction:
Jacksonville might be 3-7, but 6 of their losses were by 8 points or less. The Jaguars actually rank 11th in the NFL with an average scoring margin of +1.1 per game. Jacksonville ranks in the top half of the league in both yards per play margin and yards per point margin. They may have a bad record, but I’m not sure that they’re a bad team. The history between these two teams is a bit revealing as well. The home team is 8-2-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings between Baltimore and Jacksonville. With all that in mind, I’m going to fade the public and take the Jaguars and the points at home.
