Baltimore Ravens DFS Spin
Ravens OC Greg Roman said Ty’Son Williams has “done nothing but impress” the coaching staff this summer. Williams is going to start against the Raiders Monday night following the season-ending injuries to J.K. Dobbins, Gus Edwards, and Justice Hill. Even after the signings of Le’Veon Bell, Latavius Murray, Devonta Freeman, and Trenton Cannon, The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec expects the Ravens to give Williams “every opportunity over these first couple of weeks to solidify his hold on the starting job.” The team clearly likes Williams. He has a chance to run with the gig if he can produce Week 1 against Vegas. Consider Williams a back-end RB2 with upside this week.
Las Vegas Raiders DFS Spin
Josh Jacobs (illness) has been downgraded to questionable for the Raiders’ Week 1 game against the Ravens. Whatever illness Jacobs is dealing with isn’t COVID-19 or he would have landed on the reserve/COVID list. It’s a highly concerning downgrade 24 hours before the Raiders take on the Ravens in Vegas. Kenyan Drake would presumably take over as the team’s lead back if Jacobs were to miss the season opener. Fantasy managers should seek a desperation backup option if they planned on playing Jacobs on Monday.
Ravens vs. Raiders Betting Prediction
