Baltimore Ravens DFS Spin
Lamar Jackson completed 20-of-32 passes for 165 yards with a touchdown and four interceptions in the Ravens’ Week 12 win over the Browns. Jackson led the Ravens with 68 rushing yards on a team-high 17 carries. It was one of his worst passing games of the year, however, with all four of his interceptions coming on ill-advised throws. This could have gone a lot worse, as Jackson got his touchdown and 39 of his yards on desperation throws to TE Mark Andrews. It’s possible Jackson wasn’t 100 percent after missing last week with a non-COVID illness. Jackson will have a chance to rebound in a matchup with a Steelers secondary that could be without No. 1 CB Joe Haden in Week 13.
Pittsburgh Steelers DFS Spin
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Ben Roethlisberger “privately has told former teammates and some within the organization that he expects this to be his final season playing quarterback for the Steelers.” The rapidly declining Roethlisberger was never likely to play another season for the Steelers after he took a pay cut to come back for one more run at a championship this year. Schefter’s reporting insinuates Roethlisberger might not retire but seek to continue his NFL career with another (quarterback-needy) franchise. With zero mobility and fledgling arm strength at 39 years old, Roethlisberger would do well to call it a career, even if the Steelers make the postseason. His last home game could be January 3 against the Browns. Roethlisberger’s heir apparent likely isn’t on the Steelers roster today.
NFL Week 13 Betting Prediction
The underdog is 20-7-3 against the spread in the last 30 meetings between these two teams, while the Steelers are 17-4-2 against the number in their last 23 games as a home dog and 34-16-3 ATS in their last 53 games as an underdog. On the other side, the Ravens are 1-4 against the spread in their last five games versus an opponent with a losing record and are 1-5 ATS in their last six games following an ATS win.
