WASHINGTON: The Redskins are coming off a 31-28 overtime win over the Ravens last Sunday. Washington has now won four straight to get to 7-6 on the season and legitimately get into playoff contention. The Redskins amassed 420 yards against the Ravens’ defense in the victory, but the real issue came late in the game as quarterback Robert Griffin III suffered a knee injury that looked worse than it ended up being. Griffin III couldn’t finish the game which forced Kirk Cousins into action. He ended up leading the Redskins on a game-tying TD drive and then got Washington the win in overtime. Griffin has been diagnosed with a knee sprain, and his status for this game is unknown. Cousins would start if Griffin can’t play. Cousins is 7 of 11 passing for the season for 137 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions in two games of action.
CLEVELAND: The Browns are coming off a 30-7 win over the Chiefs last week. Cleveland has now won three straight to get to 5-8 on the season, with a slight glimmer of hope for the playoffs if they win out and get a lot of help. In the win over Kansas City, Cleveland racked up 352 total yards of offense while the defense held Kansas City to 310 yards. The special teams also got into the game, as Travis Benjamin had a 93-yard punt return for a score that turned the game around. Running back Trent Richardson rushed for just 42 yards on 18 carries, but had two touchdowns in the process. Richardson has scored touchdowns in the last three games, but been held under 100 yards in his last four games.
