Who the Trends Like: Seattle. The road team is 3-0-1 against the spread in the last four meetings between these two teams but the favorite is also 5-1-1 at the betting window in the last seven and the Redskins are just 1-4-1 against the number in their last six games versus the Seahawks.

Who We Like: Seattle. Both of these teams are banged-up, with the Seahawks unlikely to have both Earl Thomas (out) and Bobby Wagoner (questionable) for today’s game. That said, Washington is more banged-up, especially along its offensive line. Left tackle Trent Williams (knee) is doubtful, as is center Spencer Long (knee). Williams’ replacement, T.J. Clemmings, was a major liability in the team’s loss to the Cowboys last week. Washington finished the game without any of its starting offensive linemen and the situation looks bleak again today. Adding to the Redskins’ injury woes is Jordan Reed, who is out with a hamstring injury.

The Seahawks defense is a problem but they’re unlikely to be tested today like they were a week ago when Deshaun Watson and the Texans came to town. I feel safe backing Wilson and the Seattle offense, which added a legit left tackle in Duane Brown from Houston earlier this week. Wilson is playing like a MVP candidate and perhaps Brown will help Seattle finally open up holes in the running game. I’m not wild about laying a full touchdown on a Seattle team without key defensive starters, but Washington is on the verge of sinking to the bottom of the NFC East standings with the Giants so I’ll fade the Redskins.
