Gronk’s injury not serious
The New England Patriots got some good news on Monday as Rob Gronkowski’s knee injury appears to not be serious.
The New England tight end got an MRI on Monday after appearing to suffer a serious knee injury in Sunday’s loss to the Denver Broncos. The MRI showed no ligament damage and Gronkowski has simply a bruised right knee that has him as week-to-week. He isn’t expected to play against the Philadelphia Eagles this weekend.
According to oddsmakers at RealBets, odds have yet to be set for Sunday’s game between the Patriots and the Eagles. The Patriots are still the favorite to win the Super Bowl this season, as they are listed with odds of +260 to win it all.
The Patriots have been dealing with plenty of injuries this season, especially on offense. The team has lost Dion Lewis and Aaron Dobson for the season while Julian Edelman is out with a foot injury and Danny Amendola is dealing with a knee injury that has him questionable for this week. Gronkowski has 57 receptions this season for 931 yards and nine touchdowns. He was on pace to match his career-best totals of 90 receptions and 1,327 yards, which he set in 2011.
