Big Ben could return Sunday vs. Bengals
Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger could return from injury as early as Sunday when the Steelers host the Bengals at 1:00PM ET.
Coach Mike Tomlin said there will be no reservations or limitations on Roethlisberger this week, and added that the plan is for the QB to start versus Cincinnati. Roethlisberger’s knee will be monitored throughout the week but it appears as though he’ll return to action for the first time since suffering an MCL injury against the Rams in Week 3.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Steelers are 1.5-point home underdogs versus the Bengals while the over/under currently sits at 48.5 points. Perhaps the line will drop closer to a pick’em once Roethlisberger’s status is solidified towards the end of the week.
The Bengals are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five games in Pittsburgh and are 8-21-1 against the number in their last 30 games versus the Steelers overall. The favorite, meanwhile, is 7-3 against the spread in the last 10 meetings between these two teams. The under is also 5-1 in the last six meetings in Pittsburgh.
