View Current NFL Odds

The Saints are coming off a 31-15 win over the Bears on Monday to get to 6-8 on the season and ½ a game over Carolina for first in the division. The Saints have won two of their last three games, but they have lost four straight at home. On the season, New Orleans is just 6-8 against the spread. They are 2-4 ATS in their last six games and they have hit the over in three of their last four games.

Atlanta is coming off a 27-20 loss to Pittsburgh at home last Sunday to fall to 5-9 on the season. The Falcons can still win the NFC South, however, as they face the Saints and Panthers over the next two weeks. Atlanta is now 6-8 against the spread on the season, but 4-3 ATS in its last seven games. They are also 3-1 ATS in their last four games as an underdog.

The oddsmakers like the Saints to keep their spot atop the division, as oddsmakers from Bovada.lv have given the Saints odds of -5.5 points against the Falcons. The over/under total for the game has been set at 56 points (View Matchup). The home team has won five of the last six between these two and the Saints have won four of their last six against the Falcons.

These two met when the season started, with the Falcons getting a 37-34 victory in OT. Both teams are very different now, as Atlanta has had a number of injuries, especially up front. The big concern for the Falcons in this one will be the Atlanta passing defense, which ranks dead last in the NFL, allowing 292.5 yards per game through the air. That poses a big problem against a quarterback like Drew Brees, who has thrown for 4,358 yards and 31 touchdowns.
