New Orleans Saints DFS Spin
Michael Thomas (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 2 against the Raiders. This allows you to replace his spot in your lineup in time for Sunday’s games. Emmanuel Sanders and Jared Cook should see the highest volume of targets this week, with Tre’Quan Smith as a desperation play. Hopefully more positive news on Thomas’ ankle emerges heading into Week 3 against the Packers, but the initial prognosis placed Thomas out for “several weeks.”
Oakland Raiders DFS Spin
Raiders WR Henry Ruggs III (knee) returned to practice on Saturday. With the Raiders playing on Monday, Saturday’s practice was a no pads walkthrough. Still, it is an improvement for Ruggs, who was limited this week after returning to last Sunday’s game against the Panthers after landing on his knee prior to halftime.
Saints vs. Raiders Betting Prediction
The road team has covered the number in four of the last five meetings between these two teams while the Saints are 4-0 against the number in their last four games as a road favorite. New Orleans is also 4-1 against the number in its last five games when favored in any situation and has covered the spread in five of its last seven games played in the month of September. Meanwhile, the Raiders are 2-5 against the spread in their last seven games dating back to last season despite covering on the road last Sunday in Carolina. Las Vegas is also just 16-34-1 at the betting window in its last 51 games coming off a win.
