Rams 2012-13 Season Odds
ST. LOUIS, MO (The Spread) – The St. Louis Rams made several upgrades to their roster but while oddsmakers believe the team will be improved in 2012, Sam Bradford and Co. remain long shots.
Oddsmakers have set the 2012 regular season win total for the Rams at 6 games, with both the over and the under carrying odds of –115. The Rams are also 75/1 long shots to win the 2013 Super Bowl, 40/1 to win the NFC Championship and 10/1 to win the NFC West Division.
The Rams made several moves in free agency this year, none bigger than signing cornerback Cortland Finnegan to a large contract. St. Louis also added center Scott Wells, defensive linemen Kendall Langford and Trevor Laws, as well as linebackers Rocky McIntosh and Jo-Lonn Dunbar.
In the draft, the Rams selected LSU defensive tackle Michael Brockers in the first round and then Appalachian State receiver Brian Quick, North Alabama cornerback Janoris Jenkins, and Cincinnati running back Isaiah Pead in the second. Montana cornerback Trumaine Johnson was St. Louis’ selection in the third round.
We’d be remised if we didn’t mention that the Rams’ biggest acquisition this offseason was hiring Jeff Fisher as head coach. Fisher lost the only Super Bowl in which he was the head coach (the 2000 Super Bowl versus the Rams, ironically), but he has a long resume of success in the NFL and is a massive upgrade over what the team had in place before him.
2012-13 St. Louis Rams Odds
2013 Super Bowl Odds:75/1
NFC Championship Odds: 40/1
NFC West Division Odds: 10/1
Regular Season Win Total: 6
