Stanton reportedly has sprained knee, will be week-to-week for Cardinals

Stanton with just a knee sprain

GLENDALE, AZ (The Spread) – It didn’t look good for Drew Stanton when he was carted off the field in last night’s game against the St. Louis Rams. But it appears the Cardinals’ QB isn’t severely injured.

View Current NFL Odds

Stanton went down in the third quarter of Thursday’s game and was unable to put any weight on the injured knee, but reports have surfaced today that Stanton has a sprained knee and has no structural or ligament damage. The injury will leave him week-to-week.

Oddsmakers currently see Arizona as a dark horse to win the Super Bowl, as oddsmakers from Bovada.lv currently have the Cardinals with 20/1 odds to win it all. Green Bay is favored with 13/4 odds while New England has 7/2 odds.

Bet on NFL Week 15 Odds

The Cardinals are currently 11-3 on the season and they have 1.5-game lead on the Seahawks in the NFC West. They also have a ½ game lead on the Packers for the best record in the NFC. With Stanton out last night, the Cardinals turned to Ryan Lindley to finish the game. He was 4 of 10 passing for 30 yards. Arizona already lost Carson Palmer for the season to a knee injury.
