The line for the 8:15PM ET kickoff opened at 2.5 and stayed at that number until Wednesday night. But according to oddsmakers from online sports book Mybookie.ag, the number has moved to Pittsburgh -3. The total has also moved, going from 46.5 down to 45.5.
The movement isn’t surprising based on the backing that the Steelers have received from public bettors. Our NFL public betting page shows that 66% of wagers have been placed on Pittsburgh to cover the 3-point spread. The Steelers have also been a strong public play, so it wouldn’t be a total shock to see the number rise to 3.5 before Saturday night.
The Steelers have had plenty of recent success covering the spread in Cincinnati. They’re 16-4-1 against the spread in their last 21 road games versus the Bengals and have also covered four of the last five games with their AFC North rivals. The road team, meanwhile, is 19-9-1 ATS in the last 29 meetings between these two teams.
