Pittsburgh Steelers DFS Spin
Ben Roethlisberger completed 29-of-40 passes for 229 yards and a touchdown in the Steelers’ Week 6 win over the Seahawks. Big Ben only averaged 5.7 yards per attempt, but that was enough to get it done on a night in which only 43 points were scored. Roethlisberger is nowhere near viable in most leagues right now, but he has been able to sustain Diontae Johnson, Najee Harris, and Chase Claypool, so he’s doing his job for fantasy purposes. The Steelers have a bye in Week 7 before facing off against a tough Browns front in Week 8.
Cleveland Browns DFS Spin
Baker Mayfield (shoulder) was a full participant in Friday’s practice and is not listed on the Browns’ injury report. Mayfield’s status was in genuine early in the week, but he will be a full-go for Sunday against the Steelers. Mayfield gives the Browns a better chance of victory than Case Keenum, but fantasy managers won’t be able to rely on him. With Nick Chubb healthy again, and with D’Ernest Johnson showing very well in Week 7, the Browns are a lock to try and run the ball as much as they can. The Browns are one of only two teams in the league to be more efficient in the run game than through the air, while still producing positive efficiency in both facets of the game. Their run game is strong enough to put them in position to win, while also helping to protect their quarterback’s fractured shoulder. Mayfield is a low volume superflex option for Week 8.
NFL Week 8 Betting Prediction
The under is 6-2 in the last eight meetings between these two teams in Cleveland is 23-10-1 in the Steelers’ last 34 games as an underdog and is 41-13-1 in Pittsburgh’s last 55 road games. The under is also 8-3 in the Browns’ last 11 games after allowing less than 250 total yards in their previous game.
