Pittsburgh Steelers DFS Spin
Kenny Pickett completed 26-of-39 passes for 244 yards, one touchdown and one interception in the Steelers’ 13-10, Week 16 win over the Raiders. Trailing all evening in conditions that can accurately be described as “arctic,” the Steelers scored 10 unanswered fourth quarter points to send the Raiders to their latest mind-numbing loss. With wind chills below zero, Pickett looked like the worst quarterback in the NFL for 3.5 quarters but calmly guided the Steelers on what proved to be the game-winning drive with 2:55 remaining. He found George Pickens for his only score, a 14-yarder, after Pickens found the soft spot in the defense at the 0:46 mark. Almost without exaggeration, it was Pickett’s only highlight, but it was a cool-and-composed ending to what was a dreadful game in frightful conditions. A nice moment for the young lad, but he will remain miles from one-QB relevance in Week 17 against the Ravens.
Baltimore Ravens DFS Spin
Lamar Jackson (knee) won’t play in Baltimore’s Week 17 game against Pittsburgh. At this point Lamar hasn’t taken a practice snap since being hurt in Week 13, let alone come close to playing in a game. It’s possible he gets some reps in Week 18 to get his feet wet, but Baltimore has already clinched a playoff spot and may not have much to play for depending on Week 17’s results. Jackson should be considered questionable for Week 18, but we might see actual movement here next week as the Ravens prepare him for the playoffs.
