Suh questionable with flu
DETROIT, MI (The Spread) – The centerpiece of the Detroit Lions defense could miss Sunday’s game with the Minnesota Vikings as Ndamukong Suh is battling the flu.
Suh hadn’t missed a practice in his five-year NFL career prior to Thursday, when he sat out Lions’ practice because of illness. Much wasn’t thought about it, until he also missed Friday’s practice with the bug. His status for Sunday’s 4:25PM ET game with the Vikings in now in question as Detroit coach Jim Caldwell said he couldn’t rule him in or out.
Despite Suh’s unknown status, oddsmakers from Bovada.lv still like the Lions at home, as they are giving Detroit odds of -7.5 points on Sunday. The over/under total for the game has been set at 41.5 points.
Suh has 5.5 sacks and 38 tackles on the season. He arguably had his best game of the season at Minnesota on Oct. 12. Suh had two sacks and five tackles to lead the Lions to a 17-3 win. The Detroit defense had nine sacks as a unit in that victory.
