Giants vs. Eagles SNF Odds
PHILADELPHIA, PA (The Spread) – Tonight’s Sunday Night Football matchup features a NFC East battle between the Eagles and Giants at 8:20PM ET. Check out which team is favored.
NEW YORK: Despite not having Hakeem Nicks or Ahmad Bradshaw in the lineup, the Giants steamrolled the Panthers 36-7 last Thursday night in Carolina. Eli Manning completed 27-of-35 passes for 288 yards and one touchdown, while Andre Brown rushed for 113 yards on 20 carries with two touchdowns. The win improved the Giants’ record to 2-1 and their Week 1 loss to the Cowboys is quickly becoming a distant memory.
PHILADELPHIA: The Eagles were embarrassed 27-6 by the Cardinals in Arizona last Sunday, as Michael Vick completed just 17-of-37 passes for 217 yards with no touchdowns and a couple of turnovers. LeSean McCoy rushed for only 70 yards on 13 carries while Damaris Johnson led Philadelphia in receiving with five catches for 84 yards. The loss was the Eagles’ first of the season and it’s noteworthy that Philadelphia could very easily be 0-3 on the season after Cleveland and Baltimore had Andy Reid’s squad on the ropes the previous two weeks.
ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Eagles are 1-point favorites over the Giants, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 47.5 points. The Giants enter this game with a straight up record of 2-1 and are 1-2 against the spread, while the Eagles are 2-1 straight up and 0-3 ATS.
TRENDS: The Giants are 5-2 against the spread in their last seven trips to Philadelphia but they’re 1-7 ATS in their last eight games against New York. The road team is 8-2 against the spread in the last 10 meetings between these two teams while the underdog is 13-3 ATS in the last 16 meetings overall.
