Steelers vs. Chiefs NFL Free Pick
KANSAS CITY, MO (The Spread) – A week after facing the Patriots Tyler Palko gets another rough test when the Chiefs host the Steelers tonight on Sunday Night Football.
NFL Odds: Oddsmakers have installed the Steelers as 10.5-point favorites over the Chiefs, while the over/under total for this game is currently sitting at 39.5 points. Pittsburgh enters the day 7-3 overall and 3-2 on the road, while Kansas City is 4-6 overall and 2-3 at home.
Line Movement: The Steelers opened as a 10.5-point favorite at most books although the Las Vegas Hilton did set their opening line at Pittsburgh –10. Either way, the Hilton, as with every other book both offshore and in Vegas, now has Kansas City listed as a 10.5-point underdog. The over/under total opened at 39.5 but is now up to 40 at most books.
Public Betting: Of the 17,000-plus wagers on today’s game, 87% of NFL public bettors currently favor the Steelers. This information is subject to change leading up to kickoff, however, so make sure you click on the link provided for the most up-to-date NFL public betting numbers.
NFL Week 12 Free Pick: Take Pittsburgh. Palko actually moved the ball with some success against New England last Monday night but he wound up throwing four interceptions and you can probably expect more of the same tonight. The Steelers are well rested and need to jump ahead of the Ravens, so expect them to pour it on tonight against Kansas City. Assuming Ben Roethlisberger’s thumb isn’t a problem (he says it isn’t), then the Steelers should eventually wear down Kansas City’s defense in the second half, just like the Patriots did a week ago. The Chiefs’ defense is good enough to keep KC in the game but Palko will eventually put them in more bad spots. According to latest NFL trends, the Steelers are 8-3 against the spread in their last 11 games as a favorite and 8-3 ATS versus a team with a losing record.
2011 NFL WEEK 12 FREE PICK: PITTSBURGH STEELERS –10.5
