Eagles vs. Giants Pick
NFC East rivals square off in what should be a physical test of will when the New York Giants host the Philadelphia Eagles at 8:20PM ET on Sunday night.
The Eagles beat the Falcons 34-7 as a 4-point favorite in Week 13, while the combined score fell under the posted total of 43.5 points. Donovan McNabb threw for 238 yards and a touchdown, while Michael Vick had a touchdown pass and a touchdown run in the win.
The Giants beat the Cowboys 31-24 as a 1-point underdog in Week 13, while the combined score went over the posted total of 45.5 points. Brandon Jacobs rushed for 39 yards with a touchdown 13 carries and also caught a 71-yard touchdown pass for the Giants. Eli Manning threw for 241 yards with two touchdowns and an interception in the win.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Giants a pick’em against the Eagles in Week 14. The over/under total for this game has been set at 44 points.
Don’t be fooled by the Eagles’ rout of the Falcons last week. Atlanta was severely depleted on the offensive side of the ball and the Eagles took advantage of the fact that the Falcons couldn’t find the end zone. The Giants’ win over the Cowboys was far more impressive than Philly’s win in Atlanta.
We love the Giants in this matchup, because we think New York is starting to turn things around. They’re playing more inspired defensively and will fluster McNabb into a couple of mistakes that they can turn into scoring opportunities. Philadelphia hasn’t played as well on the road this year as it has at home, and we think the Eagles will struggle once again away from Lincoln Financial Field tonight.
Take the Giants and the under 44 points. This should be a defensive battle through and through.
Our NFL Week 14 Free Pick for this matchup is: NEW YORK GIANTS -1 and UNDER 44.
