Super Bowl 52 Predictions: How Many Yards Will Nick Foles Throw For? 2/4/18

Nick Foles SB52 Prop Predictions

How many yards will Eagles quarterback Nick Foles throw for tonight against the Patriots when Super Bowl 52 kicks off at 6:30 p.m. ET?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book YouWager, the Patriots are now 4.5-point favorites to beat the Eagles after opening as a 6-point Super Bowl favorite. As for the total, the number hit the board at 47.5 or 48 but is now up to 48.5 at most online and Vegas sports books.

As of this writing, 53% of the betting tickets that have been wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Eagles to cover the point spread as an underdog. Public bettors also like the over, as 58% of the betting tickets wagered online is on the over.

Bet Patriots vs. Eagles Super Bowl LII

Nick Foles Total Completions: Under 22.5

Foles actually has a higher completion percentage (77.8) than Tom Brady (67.0) this NFL postseason. Then again, he’s coming off the game of his life in the NFC Championship Game and I don’t expect him to duplicate that feat. He’ll get close to 22.5 completions but ultimately I think he falls short. One would think that if the Eagles fall behind in the second half he’ll put the ball in the air a lot, which is true. But that doesn’t mean he’ll be able to complete those passes, especially if they’re of a higher difficulty.

Nick Foles Total Pass Attempts: Over 35

Even though I only have Foles down for about 20 completions, I do think he’ll attempt at least 35 passes. Again, if the Eagles are trailing in the second half, they could be forced to throw more. And while he might not complete those passes, he’ll still attempt them, contributing to the over.

Nick Foles Total Passing Yards: Under 250.5

Foles completed 23-of-30 passes for 246 yards against the Falcons and 26-of-33 passes for 352 yards against the Vikings. I firmly believe that his production in Super Bowl 52 will draw closer to his stat line versus Atlanta than against Minnesota. Thus, I like Foles to come up just short of the 250.5 mark tonight.

Nick Foles Total Touchdown Passes Thrown: Over 0.5

This one is worth a dart throw because just one touchdown pass and you’ll cash the over. He didn’t throw a single touchdown pass against the Falcons in the Divisional Round but threw three against Minnesota in the NFC Championship Game. If you throw out the start against Dallas in which he was pulled early, he has a touchdown throw in three of his four starts since replacing Carson Wentz. The over is worth a play.
