Super Bowl LII Odds: Dion Lewis Prop Bets Predictions 1/30/18

Dion Lewis Prop Bet Predictions

Super Bowl Sunday is almost here and with that we will be doing a series of predictions articles from prop bets. Here are our predictions for Patriots running back Dion Lewis.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book YouWager, the Patriots are currently 4.5-point favorites to beat the Eagles in Super Bowl LII. The total, meanwhile, sits at 48 points. As of this writing, Philadelphia has received over 55% of the betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks for this game.

Here are our predictions for how Patriots running back Dion Lewis will fare on Sunday.

Bet Patriots vs. Eagles Super Bowl LII

Dion Lewis Total Rushing Yards: Over 53.5

The current over/under on this prop bet is 53.5 and I like the over. While he only rushed for 34 yards against the Jaguars in the AFC Championship Game, Lewis was heavily involved in the team’s Divisional Round victory over the Titans, rushing 15 times for 62 yards. In fact, since Week 5, Lewis has totaled at least 50 yards rushing in 11 of his 14 games, including the two postseason games. We project him to rush for 65 yards on Sunday.

Dion Lewis Total Rushing Attempts: Over 12.5

The Patriots started to ramp up Lewis’ rushing attempts at the end of October. After failing to record more than seven carries in his first six games, Lewis has received at least 10 carries in every game but two since October 15: A Monday night loss to the Dolphins and in the AFC Championship Game win over the Jaguars. He should receive between 13-15 carries on Sunday and be an integral part of the Patriots’ game plan.

Dion Lewis Total Receptions: Over 4.5

As you can see, we’re high on Lewis this weekend. He caught nine passes against the Titans and seven versus the Jaguars. He also hasn’t caught fewer than five passes in his last four games (including the playoffs) and only once since Week 15 has he not caught fewer than five passes. With the amount of screen passes the Patriots use in their offense, Lewis should be active.

Dion Lewis: Total Receiving Yards: Over 29.5

Again, we think Lewis is going to play a big role in what New England wants to do offensively. He’s cleared that 29.5-yard receiving mark in three straight games and nearly did it Week 16 against the Bills when he caught five passes for 24 yards.
