Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Ravens are 7.5-point favorites to beat the Bucs. The total, meanwhile, sits at 46.5 points. As of this writing, 51% of the public betting tickets are on the Ravens to cover the point spread.
Tampa Bay Bucs
Jameis Winston completed 18-of-38 passes for 213 yards for two touchdowns and one interception in Sunday’s Week 14 loss to the Saints. Winston added 47 rushing yards and was the teams leading rusher for the second consecutive game. The worst of his day came in the second half, completing just 6-of-17 passes for 83 yards with an interception. In the first half, Winston completed 11 and 1-yard touchdown passes to Cameron Brate. Winston will enter Week 15 as a risky-QB1 option in Week 15 on the road against the stout Ravens defense.
Baltimore Ravens
Coach John Harbaugh announced Lamar Jackson will start Week 15 against the Bucs. Joe Flacco (hip) is healthy but will be the backup, sending Robert Griffin III to the inactive list. The Ravens are 3-1 with Jackson at quarterback, but have also enjoyed a cupcake schedule. Jackson has not looked good at all as a passer, missing easy throws and making easy ones look difficult. However, the Ravens are running all over teams, the way Harbaugh likes to play. Jackson gets another tasty date with the Bucs this week, but his leash could be short.
NFL Betting Trends
Tampa Bay
The under is 12-4 in the Bucs’ last 16 games coming off a double-digit loss at home.
Baltimore
The under is 4-1 in the Ravens’ last five games after allowing more than 250 yards passing int heir previous game.
Prediction
The Ravens rank in the top two in giving up the least amount of points and yards per game and while the Bucs have been torched on the road this season, Baltimore’s running game should keep the clock moving (and thus, the scoring in check). The under is 4-1 in the last five meetings between these two teams, is 4-1 in the Bucs’ last five games overall and 5-2 in the Ravens’ last seven games coming off a loss.
NFL Week 15 Prediction: Bucs/Ravens under 46.5
