Bucs vs. Chargers Prediction
Can the Bucs pull off another upset when they visit the Chargers today at 4:25PM ET, or is San Diego the safer bet?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Chargers are 3.5-point home favorites versus the Bucs while the over/under currently sits at 48.5 points. San Diego did open as a 4.5-point home favorite before the line was bet down a full point, while the total opened at 47 before jumping to 48.5.
BUCS KEY TRENDS: The Bucs are 4-1 against the spread in their last five road games, are 5-2 against the spread in their last seven games overall, and are 6-1 at the betting window in their last seven games after allowing less than 250 total yards in their previous game. That said, they have failed to cover the number in five of their last seven road games versus an opponent with a losing home record.
CHARGERS KEY TRENDS: San Diego is a remarkable 21-5 against the spread in its last 26 games after allowing more than 350 total yards in its previous game. The Chargers are also 11-4 against the spread in their last 15 games overall, are 6-1 against the number in their last seven games versus a team with a winning record, but are just 5-13 ATS in their last 18 home games.

OUR PREDICTION: The Bucs put together an epic defensive performance last Sunday in their 14-5 win over the Seahawks but I’m willing to bet they won’t accomplish the same feat. Philip Rivers and Co. are eighth in total yards per game (371.2), fifth in passing yards per game (271.5) and are third in points scored, averaging 28.5 PPG. Tampa Bay bet Seattle last week with a great pass rush, but that same pass rush has been inconsistent all year. If the Chargers can force Jameis Winston into a couple of turnovers, I like San Diego to win by a touchdown.
NFL WEEK 13 PREDICTION: SAN DIEGO CHARGERS -3.5
