HOUSTON: The Texans own a 29-17 win over the Colts at home back on Dec. 16. The Texans covered the spread in the victory as well. Houston is the AFC South champion and will be the No. 1 seed in the playoffs with a win, but they could fall out of that spot with a loss and a win by the Broncos or the Patriots. The Texans actually suffered a 23-6 loss to the Vikings at home last week and they have lost two of their last three games. Houston was held to 187 total yards of offense in the loss while allowing 345 yards of offense to the Vikings. J.J. Watt had one sack for the Texans in the loss. Watt now has 20.5 sacks on the season and needs two sacks on Sunday to tie the single-season NFL record.
INDIANAPOLIS: The Colts are 10-5 on the season and they have locked up the No. 5 seed in the AFC playoffs. The Colts picked up a 20-13 win at Kansas City last week to secure their spot in the playoffs. The team also got head coach Chuck Pagano back this week after his lengthy battle with leukemia. In last week’s win, the Colts actually gave up 507 yards of offense to the Chiefs while amassing just 288 yards of their own. The Colts were able to force three turnovers in the game, including an interception for a touchdown. Andrew Luck had 205 yards through the air on 17 of 35 passing. Luck has not thrown for more than 205 yards in his last three games. He had just 186 yards in the first meeting with Houston.
ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Houston is the favorite on the road, as the Texans have odds of -7 points against the Colts. The over/under total has not been set for this game. Houston is 12-3 on the season, 6-1 on the road and 9-6 against the spread. Indianapolis is 10-5 on the season, 6-1 at home and 10-5 against the spread.
