Texans vs. Jaguars Week 12 Odds
JACKSONVILLE, FL (The Spread) – Matt Leinart will make his Texans debut on Sunday when Houston travels to Jacksonville to play their AFC South rivals the Jaguars at 1:00PM ET.
HOUSTON: Matt Schaub suffered a season-ending foot injury last week in the Texans’ 37-9 victory over the Buccaneers. That puts Houston’s season square in the hands of Leinart, who hasn’t attempted a pass in a regular season game since 2009. The Texans are in good shape though. They have a two-game lead over the Titans in the AFC South and if they can beat the Jaguars on Sunday, they’ll move closer to notching their first division victory in franchise history.
JACKSONVILLE: The Jaguars had an opportunity to possibly jump back into the AFC South race if they could beat lowly Cleveland in Week 11 but the Browns eventually held on for a 14-10 victory. Jacksonville was in the red zone with a chance to win the game as time expired, but Blaine Gabbert couldn’t connect with Jason Hill in the back of the end zone. The loss dropped the Jaguars to 3-7 on the year and 4-5-1 against the spread, as the under has now hit in nine of Jacksonville’s 10 games this season.

TRENDS: The home team is 3-0-1 against the spread in the last four meetings between these two teams while the Texans are just 1-3-1 ATS in their last five games against the Jaguars. That said, Houston is 3-0-1 ATS in their last four games overall and 3-0-1 ATS in their last four division contests. The Jaguars are 2-7-1 ATS in their last 10 games as an underdog but 4-1 ATS in their last five November games.
